About Us

The two counties located north of Hillsborough County on the west coast of Florida, Pasco and Hernando, have a combined population of nearly 800,000. With the area expanding and growing, there was a need for another alumni chapter in Florida. On June 26, 2021, the Pasco-Hernando Chapter of the National Alumni Association of Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University was officially chartered.

Our Mission

To actively promote the interests of Florida A&M University as an institution of higher learning, research, development and public service through fundraising, recruitment, image building and public/governmental affairs, and to support students in Pasco and Hernando counties to attend the university.

Meeting Information

Meetings are held every fourth Saturday of the month at 2 p.m. Contact a chapter officer or member for location.

Scholarships

Alumni Scholarship Program

The Alumni Scholarships were initiated in 2022. The program is currently designed to:

  • Reward Pasco Hernando high school seniors and transfer students for their academic and leadership achievements
  • Recognize current full-time undergraduate Pasco Hernando students for academic excellence
Through earnings generated from fundraising and donations the alumni chapter is capable of offering scholarships.
